about fanlistings

From TheFanlistings.org
A fanlisting is simply an online listing of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician [as in this case], that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country. Fanlistings do not have to be large sites (although some are) - they are just a place where you can have your name listed along with other fans of the same subject.

TheFanlistings.org is the original web directory for fanlistings, dedicated to uniting fans across the globe.

about the name

Why "Hazel-eyed Soul?":

It's a play on "blue-eyed soul," a phrase that basically means: Caucasians (aka: "white" people) singing R&B/soul music. Technically, Bryan is a Native American/Irish American, R&B/soul singer... but ya know... whatever. ha ha.

The hazel-eyed part is because Bryan has...  wait for it...   hazel eyes.

about Bryan

Bryan Keith Abrams was born November 16, 1969 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, U.S.A.

While attending Northwest Classen High School, Bryan (as lead singer) formed an a cappella quartet with his friend Kevin Thornton (bass), talent show opponent/friend Mark Calderon (baritone), and Mark's friend, Sam Watters (tenor). They were then known as Take One, but due to the popularity of the a cappella/jazz Gospel group Take 6, a name change soon became necessary....

Sam came up with the name Color Me Badd, to convey the guys' desire to create music without labels, and the rest is music history. ;) After being discovered by Robert "Kool" Bell (of Kool & the Gang fame), the group of young men moved from Oklahoma City, to New York City (later Long Island) to pursue a record deal.

They signed with Giant/Reprise (Warner Bros. sub-labels) in 1990, and went on to release a total of five albums (the last, "Awakening," on the Epic label), before parting ways in late 1998. "The Best of Color Me Badd" was released by Giant in 2000.

Bryan has one solo album so far - 2001's "Welcome to Me" (released independently, and no longer in print, though it is often found on eBay). More solo music is in the works, along with some collaborative efforts.

In 2007, Bryan appeared on the VH1 reality series, "Mission: Man Band," with fellow ex "boy band" members: Chris Kirkpatrick (*NSYNC), Jeff Timmons (98 Degrees), and Rich Cronin (LFO). Bryan was also lead singer of that group, and impressed everyone present by nailing his parts in the recording studio, with very few takes (in many cases, just one).

Bryan is working on new music, and an autobiography. He currently lives in Oklahoma with his wife, and two youngest children.
